Postiz plans, in the vendor's words

PlanPriceIncluded
Standard$23/mo flat per plan billed yearly ($29 billed monthly)5 channels, unlimited posts per month, a solo plan with no team members. API, webhooks (2, per the docs), MCP and CLI. 3 AI videos and 60 minutes of AI video clipping a month. AI images conflict: none on the pricing page and in the homepage FAQ, 20 a month in the docs’ plans and limits tables; the plans table also marks the image generator No for Standard. RSS auto-posting conflicts: listed on the Standard card, No for Standard in the docs’ plan table. The docs list $278 a year; the pricing page’s rate comes to $276.
Team$31/mo flat per plan billed yearly ($39 billed monthly)10 channels, unlimited posts per month, unlimited team members (seats are not counted). 100 AI images, 10 AI videos and 120 minutes of AI video clipping a month; 10 webhooks per the docs. The docs list $374 a year; the pricing page’s rate comes to $372.
ProPOPULAR$39/mo flat per plan billed yearly ($49 billed monthly)Labelled Popular on Postiz’s pricing page. 30 channels, unlimited posts per month and unlimited team members. 300 AI images, 30 AI videos and 300 minutes of AI video clipping a month; 30 webhooks per the docs. The docs list $470 a year; the pricing page’s rate comes to $468.
Ultimate$79/mo flat per plan billed yearly ($99 billed monthly)100 channels, unlimited posts per month and unlimited team members. 500 AI images, 60 AI videos and 600 minutes of AI video clipping a month; 10,000 webhooks per the docs. The docs list $950 a year; the pricing page’s rate comes to $948.
7-day trialNo charge for 7 days, then the plan price; card requiredA trial, not a free plan. The pricing page says every plan starts with one; the docs say new organisations are normally offered one, once per organisation, on the plan you pick. Postiz places a small authorisation on the card, which the docs say is released immediately and never becomes a charge. During the trial the docs say scheduling, publishing, analytics, automations and the API work as they will after you are billed; video clipping and some paid AI video generators are held back, and reconnecting a previously connected channel is restricted. The card is charged on day 7 unless you cancel first.
Self-hosted edition (open source)Free to self-host under AGPL-3.0; you run the serverThe vendor says the self-hosted edition costs nothing to run beyond your own server, and adds that you handle installation with Docker, updates, backups and the developer-app approvals on each social network yourself. The docs say you register the developer app for each provider that needs one and supply its keys, that AI images and video need your own OpenAI and generator keys, and that a self-hosted install has no plan limits and behaves as the top tier. Postiz sells app approval as an optional paid service (pricing FAQ). Its pages differ on feature parity: the pricing FAQ says the hosted platform “is where the agent features ship first”, while the cloud docs say the difference “is not the feature set”. Support is the community Discord only, and the docs say it is not guaranteed.
White-label headless API (Enterprise page)From $200/mo flat per plan (Monthly toggle; $160/mo with the Yearly toggle) to $8,000/mo ($6,400/mo Yearly); Contact Sales buttons disabled, not accepting new applicationsA separate product for SaaS companies on postiz.com/enterprise. Monthly toggle: Starter $200, Growth $400, Business $1,200, Enterprise $2,500 and Scale $8,000 a month; Yearly toggle: $160, $320, $960, $2,000 and $6,400 a month. 200, 500, 2,000, 5,000 and 20,000 channels; posts, users and API calls are listed as Unlimited. The vendor’s Popular badge sits on Business. When we read the page on November 6, 2026, every tier’s Contact Sales button and the page’s Book a Demo and Start Here buttons were disabled, each with the note “We are not accepting new applications at the moment”.

How these numbers are verified

  1. We open Postiz's own pricing page, postiz.com/pricing, and record prices, plan names and the free plan as written, with the date.
  2. A vendor's correction or a reader's report changes nothing until an editor has checked it.
  3. Scores and rankings are editorial: vendors cannot buy them or correct them.
  4. After 30 days without a new reading, this page stops calling the facts verified (the page is rebuilt daily).

Editor's verdict

updated

“Postiz suits developers and AI-agent builders who want one flat plan to publish across many networks: a public API, webhooks, a hosted MCP server with 13 tools and a CLI come with every plan, the pricing page lists unlimited posts, Team and above add unlimited team members, and the AGPL code can be self-hosted if you register your own developer apps. $23 a month billed yearly ($29 monthly) buys 5 channels, and the cost per channel falls to $0.79 a month when all 100 Ultimate channels are used on yearly billing. The trade-offs are real: no free hosted plan (the 7-day trial needs a card), a create-post limit of 90 or 100 requests an hour depending on which docs page you read (the OpenAPI spec’s description says 30), no inbox, DM or ads API, account-level analytics on about ten platforms, no stated SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, and vendor pages that contradict each other on at least eleven points, among them refunds, yearly totals, plan details and comment replies. Use the trial to run your real workflow through the API or MCP, read the Terms of Service on refunds, and compare the other social media APIs we review (Ayrshare, Blotato, Outstand, Unipile, Upload-Post and Zernio) or a scheduler with a free plan such as Buffer, Metricool or Publer.”

Best for

  • Developers and SaaS teams that want to post to many networks through a REST API, webhooks or MCP for a flat monthly price
  • AI-agent builders who want Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or a shell-based agent to schedule posts into a calendar a person can review
  • Agencies with many accounts: 30 channels on Pro and 100 on Ultimate, with unlimited team members

Watch out for

  • No free plan on Postiz Cloud: the 7-day trial needs a card, holds back video clipping and some paid AI video generators, and charges on day 7
  • The create-post endpoint is limited to 90 requests an hour by the cloud Limits page (the API overview says 100 on the cloud, and the OpenAPI spec’s description says 30 an hour), and the docs say the limit does not rise with the plan

The full review

Postiz homepage hero: three Product Hunt laurels reading Product of the day 1st, Product of the week 1st and Product of the month 1st; the headline “Run your social media on autopilot with Claude”, in which the agent name rotates; the line “Postiz is the agentic social media scheduler: AI agents plan, generate and schedule posts to 30+ networks, and you review everything in one visual calendar.”; a Start a 7-day trial for $0 button; two rows of network icons; an I need agentic scheduling / I need classic scheduling toggle; and the vendor’s Discord Support button at the bottom right

What Postiz is

Postiz calls itself “the agentic social media scheduler”: its homepage says AI agents plan, generate and schedule posts to 30+ networks while you review everything in one visual calendar. People can use it as an ordinary scheduler, and developers, SaaS products and AI agents can drive the same account through a public REST API, webhooks, a hosted MCP server and a CLI, all of which the vendor includes on every plan. Its own pages disagree on how many networks that is; the networks section below sets out the counts.

The contracting party for subscriptions is Gitroom Limited, in Hong Kong, and a US company, Gitroom LLC in Delaware, holds the developer approvals for the social platforms Postiz connects to. The About page names Nevo David as the founder, says 17 AI agents are documented and says “Thousands of creators, brands and agencies publish through Postiz today”; the homepage and About page also show Product Hunt badges for #1 product of the day, week and month. Those are the vendor’s claims, and we have not verified them.

The code is open source. The main repository, gitroomhq/postiz-app, is licensed AGPL-3.0, was created on July 8, 2023 and had 40,995 GitHub stars and 7,808 forks on November 6, 2026, and its latest release, v2.25.3, came out on October 24, 2026. The hosted service, Postiz Cloud, is paid; the vendor says the self-hosted edition costs nothing beyond your own server, and that you handle installation, updates, backups and the developer-app approvals on each network yourself.

What the API, MCP server and CLI cover

Postiz API reference page Create Post. A sidebar lists endpoints such as Connect Channel (OAuth), Get Settings & Tools, Trigger a Tool, Delete Channel, Check Connection, Find Available Slot, List Posts, Create Post, Delete Post, Change Post Status, Update Post Settings, Platform Analytics and Post Analytics. The page reads Create or schedule a new post. Each social media platform has its own settings schema., shows the endpoint POST https://api.postiz.com/public/v1/posts with a Try it button and a table of the type values now, schedule and draft, and on the right a cURL request with an Authorization header and a JSON body above a sample 200 response with a postId and an integration
Screenshot of docs.postiz.com/public-api/posts/create, taken .

The Public API lives at https://api.postiz.com/public/v1. Its Create Post endpoint publishes, schedules or saves a draft (the type field takes now, schedule or draft), and each platform has its own settings schema. The OpenAPI 3.1.0 spec, titled Postiz Public API 1.0.0, lists 27 paths: connected channels, which the API calls integrations (listing, groups, OAuth connect, settings, platform helpers, deletion and finding a free slot), posts, channel and post analytics, notifications, media uploads, AI video and clipping. You authenticate with an API key in the Authorization header, or with OAuth2 tokens, which start with pos_, if you build an app that acts for other Postiz users; the developer settings page says keys do not expire on their own.

Webhooks fire when a post publishes and can be scoped to all channels or to specific ones. On Postiz Cloud they are available from the Standard plan up, and the docs allow 2, 10, 30 and 10,000 webhooks on Standard, Team, Pro and Ultimate (the pricing page shows only a checkmark). For agents, the hosted MCP server at https://mcp.postiz.com/mcp exposes 13 tools, including schedulePostTool, integrationList, generateImageTool, generateVideoTool and clippingTool, and accepts an API key or an OAuth token. The CLI installs with npm install -g postiz and outputs JSON (version 2.0.27 on npm, last updated October 30, 2026), and an agent skill installs with npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent. The pricing page says there is no separate agent tier: these surfaces ship with the Standard plan.

For code, the docs list an official Node.js SDK, @postiz/node, and an n8n node, and the homepage also names Make.com and Zapier. On npm the SDK is at version 1.0.8 and was last updated on July 27, 2025, more than a year before this review; n8n-nodes-postiz is at 0.2.17. The docs are written for machines as well as people: llms.txt and llms-full.txt, the OpenAPI spec, a Try it playground, Copy page and a live Known Issues tracker, which notes, for example, that deleting a post that no longer exists can return a 500 error instead of a 404.

What the API does not cover matters as much. You can schedule follow-up comments and threads with your own posts (on LinkedIn and Facebook the comments appear as replies to the main post), and Plugs can add a follow-up post when a post passes a number of likes you set, on X, LinkedIn Page, Bluesky and Threads. Replying to other people’s comments is where the docs conflict: the MCP docs say there is no tool to read or reply to comments and that replies must be triggered through the Postiz UI, while the Instagram self-hosting page says “You can post a reply through the API”; the OpenAPI spec lists no comment endpoint, and no endpoints for an inbox, direct messages or ads. If your product needs to read replies, handle DMs or manage ads through an API, we found no Postiz endpoint for it.

Networks: 27, 28+, 30+, 32 or 34

Postiz’s own pages give five different counts. The website says 30+, and the homepage FAQ names 29 networks: X, LinkedIn profiles and company pages, Facebook Pages, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Bluesky, Mastodon, Lemmy, Farcaster (Warpcast), Nostr, Telegram, Discord, Slack, VK, Google My Business, Dribbble, Kick, Twitch, Whop, Skool, Medium, Dev.to, Hashnode, WordPress and ListMonk. The API overview’s heading says “Supported Platforms (32 total)”, but its tables name 31. The docs page on posting rules says “Postiz supports 34 platforms”, but its table has 35 rows: it adds TikTok Business, Instagram Standalone, Moltbook, MeWe and Tumblr and lists LinkedIn and LinkedIn Page separately. The CLI docs and the privacy policy say 28+, and the description inside the OpenAPI spec file says “Supported Platforms (27)”.

The same docs page contradicts itself on 11 platforms. Its table, which it says shows what happens when you click a platform in Add Channel, gives Twitch, Kick, VK, Nostr, Lemmy, Medium, Dev.to, Hashnode, WordPress, Listmonk and Moltbook a connect method (OAuth for Twitch, Kick and VK; Credentials in Postiz for Nostr, Lemmy, Medium, Dev.to, Hashnode, WordPress and ListMonk; an in-app dialog for Moltbook), but a later section says they “have no in-app connect flow yet” and are supported for scheduling and publishing through the Public API. If one of those matters to you, check how it connects during the trial.

Analytics reach fewer networks than posting. Per-channel and per-post analytics are available in the app and over the API, but account-level analytics cover a minority of platforms: the docs say “Only 10 of the 34 platforms report analytics back to Postiz”, while the table beneath lists 11 (Facebook Page, Instagram through Facebook Business, Instagram Standalone, LinkedIn Page, TikTok, TikTok Business, YouTube, Google My Business, Pinterest, Threads and X), with ranges of 7, 30 or 90 days depending on the platform. LinkedIn analytics cover Pages, not personal profiles. The pricing page, by contrast, says its analytics track engagement “across all your connected platforms”.

Plans, channels and what you pay

Postiz pricing page with Monthly selected: the heading Postiz Pricing: Agentic Scheduling from $29/month, the line Every plan includes the MCP server, CLI and API, so Claude, ChatGPT or any agent can schedule for you. Start with a 7-day free trial., a Monthly / Yearly toggle and four plan cards. Standard $29/mo, Best for content creators, 5 channels; Team $39/mo, Best for small brands, 10 channels, unlimited team members, 100 AI images per month; Pro $49/mo with the vendor’s Popular badge, Best for large businesses, 30 channels, 300 AI images per month; Ultimate $99/mo, Best for agencies, 100 channels, 500 AI images per month. Each card also lists unlimited posts per month, AI videos and AI video clipping minutes, Custom Integrations, API, Webhooks, RSS auto-post and other features above a Start for $0 button
Screenshot of postiz.com/pricing, taken .

Postiz Cloud has four plans, each a flat price per subscription (organisation) rather than per seat, tiered by how many channels you connect: Standard $29, Team $39, Pro $49 and Ultimate $99 a month on monthly billing. With the Yearly toggle the pricing page shows $23, $31, $39 and $79 a month, billed yearly, which the vendor says saves about 20%. Each connected social account is one channel (three Facebook Pages are three channels), and the caps are 5, 10, 30 and 100 channels. The pricing page lists unlimited posts per month on every plan (the API overview disagrees; see below). Standard is a solo plan with no team members; Team, Pro and Ultimate allow unlimited team members, and the docs say seats are not counted. The vendor labels Pro as Popular.

Monthly AI allowances rise with the plan: 3, 10, 30 and 60 AI videos, 60, 120, 300 and 600 minutes of AI video clipping, and 100, 300 and 500 AI images on Team, Pro and Ultimate; the docs say they reset monthly on your subscription anniversary. Four plan details conflict between Postiz’s pages, and we report both sides rather than pick one. AI images on Standard: none on the pricing page and in the homepage FAQ, but 20 a month in the docs’ plans and limits tables; the plans table also marks the image generator No for Standard. RSS auto-posting on Standard: listed on the Standard card and, per the homepage FAQ, on every plan, but No for Standard in the docs’ plan table. The yearly price: the docs’ table lists $278, $374, $470 and $950 a year, while the pricing page’s $23, $31, $39 and $79 a month come to $276, $372, $468 and $948. The docs call the pricing page the commercial source of truth. Post volume: the pricing page lists unlimited posts per month on every plan and the docs’ plans page says plans tier on channels, not on volume, but the API overview says plans tier on “channel and post-per-month quotas”.

There is no free plan on Postiz Cloud. The homepage says “There is no permanent free tier on the hosted version”, and the docs say an organisation without a subscription cannot use the app. The pricing page says every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and the homepage button reads Start a 7-day trial for $0; the docs say new organisations are normally offered one, once per organisation. The trial needs a payment method, on which Postiz places a small authorisation that the docs say is released immediately and never becomes a charge. During the trial, the docs say, scheduling, publishing, analytics, automations and the API work exactly as they will after you are billed; video clipping and some paid AI video generators are held back, and reconnecting a previously connected channel is restricted. On day 7 the card is charged for the plan you picked unless you cancel first.

Worked examples from the published prices: Standard costs $276 a year at the pricing page’s yearly rate ($23 × 12) or $348 over twelve months at $29, and the docs list $278 for the year. If every channel slot is used, the yearly rate works out at $4.60 per channel a month on Standard, $3.10 on Team, $1.30 on Pro and $0.79 on Ultimate ($5.80, $3.90, about $1.63 and $0.99 on monthly billing). A small product that needs 8 connected accounts outgrows Standard’s 5 and lands on Team: $31 a month billed yearly ($372 a year at that rate; the docs list $374) or $39 monthly, with no charge per post or per team member. The pricing page lists post volume as unlimited, but the create-post endpoint is rate-limited per hour (see the next section).

For SaaS companies that want to offer scheduling to their own users, a separate page, postiz.com/enterprise, sells a white-label headless API with its own price list: Starter $200, Growth $400, Business $1,200, Enterprise $2,500 and Scale $8,000 a month with the Monthly toggle, or $160, $320, $960, $2,000 and $6,400 a month with the Yearly toggle, for 200, 500, 2,000, 5,000 and 20,000 channels. Posts, users and API calls are listed as Unlimited and the vendor’s Popular badge sits on Business. When we read the page on November 6, 2026, every tier’s Contact Sales button and the page’s Book a Demo and Start Here buttons were disabled, each with the note “We are not accepting new applications at the moment”.

Limits developers should plan around

The Public API’s main limit is on creating posts, and Postiz’s pages give three numbers. The API overview says “90 requests per hour (100 for the cloud) limit applies to only the create post endpoint” and that the limit does not tier by plan; the cloud Limits page says 90 requests per hour on the create-post endpoint, a fixed value that does not scale with the plan; and the description inside the OpenAPI spec file says “There is a limit of 30 requests per hour”, without naming an endpoint. The API overview adds that one request can carry many posts, so send posts in batches rather than one request per post.

The other caps: request bodies on /posts are limited to 50 MB (above that the API returns 413), uploads to 10 MB per image and 1 GB per video file on every plan, and video clipping to one job at a time, 20 a day and 180 minutes for a single video. The pricing page lists unlimited posts per month on every plan, so the channel cap and the hourly create-post limit are the ones to size against.

Self-hosting, security and support

The open-source edition is licensed AGPL-3.0, and the vendor says it costs nothing to run beyond your own server. The same homepage answer adds that you handle installation with Docker, updates, backups and the developer-app approvals on each social network yourself. The docs say you register the developer app for each provider that needs one and supply its keys, that AI images and video need your own OpenAI and generator keys, and that a self-hosted install has no plan limits and behaves as the top tier; the pricing FAQ offers app approval as an optional paid service. Postiz’s pages also disagree on feature parity: the pricing FAQ says the hosted platform “is where the agent features ship first”, while the cloud docs say the difference “is not the feature set”. Support differs as well: Postiz Cloud customers get email and Discord, while self-hosted installs get the community Discord only, and the docs say support for them is not guaranteed.

The privacy policy, dated October 19, 2026, lists TLS on every connection, encryption at rest for media files, passwords stored only as salted bcrypt hashes and workspace API keys stored encrypted. We found no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 claim on the pages we read. The Data Processor page names an EU representative under GDPR Article 27 (Gelhaus Solutions) and lists sub-processors including Railway, Vercel, Cloudflare, Stripe, Anthropic, OpenAI, fal.ai and ElevenLabs; customers who have signed its Data Processing Agreement are told by email at least 7 days before a new sub-processor starts processing their data. There is no self-serve account deletion or data export: both go through support@postiz.com.

Refund terms conflict. The pricing FAQ, which matches the Terms of Service last updated on October 19, 2026, refunds up to one month of fees per account as long as your last charge was within the past 120 days, and says annual plans are not refundable. The docs’ refund page sets different rules: one refund per customer, for a subscription charge less than 60 days old, capped at one month, with a yearly charge refunded at one twelfth and the subscription cancelled. Read the Terms of Service before paying for a year.

Who Postiz fits, and who should look elsewhere

Postiz suits developers, SaaS teams and AI-agent builders who want to publish to many networks, including community platforms such as Reddit, Discord, Slack, Telegram, Mastodon and Bluesky and blogging targets such as Medium, Dev.to and WordPress (whose in-app connection the docs contradict), through an API, webhooks or MCP at a flat monthly price, with a calendar where a person can review what an agent scheduled. Agencies pay less per channel on the bigger plans (30 channels on Pro, 100 on Ultimate) and get unlimited team members, and teams that want to run the code themselves can self-host it if they register their own developer apps.

Look elsewhere if you need a free hosted tier to start (Buffer, Metricool, Publer, Upload-Post and Zernio each have one; Buffer’s, Upload-Post’s and Zernio’s include API access), an API for inboxes, DMs or ads, account-level analytics on more than about ten networks, more than the 90 to 100 create-post requests an hour the docs allow (the OpenAPI spec’s description says 30), or a vendor that states a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification. If you work with even one colleague, note that Standard has no team members; the cheapest plan with them is Team, $31 a month billed yearly ($39 monthly).

The catches

On Trustpilot, Postiz scored 3.5 (Average) from 16 reviews when we read the profile on November 6, 2026. The page loaded through only one of our three tools (the other two got a bot block); it is marked as a claimed profile, and the split it reported was 62% five-star and 38% one-star. G2 blocked every request, so we show no G2 score.

For a buyer, the bigger issue is that Postiz’s pages disagree on at least eleven points: the refund window, the yearly totals, AI images on Standard, RSS auto-posting on Standard, the API rate limit, the number of platforms, the number of platforms with analytics, whether 11 platforms can be connected in the app, whether comment replies can go through the API, whether plans tier on post volume, and whether self-hosted installs get the same features. Check the Terms of Service and the pricing page, which the docs call the commercial source of truth, before you commit. The hosted trial also needs a card and charges on day 7, the official Node.js SDK has not been updated on npm since July 2025, and self-hosted users get no guaranteed support.

Its status page, status.postiz.com, run by Gelhaus Solutions (the EU representative its Data Processor page names), lists two incidents on the hosted service in the 90 days before we read it on November 6, 2026. At 9:19 PM UTC on October 21 Postiz wrote that it was “investigating a reported security breach involving our hosting provider, Railway” and had “temporarily taken our production environment offline, affecting all production services”; the Dashboard, the API and Providers are listed as down, and it marked the incident resolved at 12:26 PM UTC on October 22, about 15 hours later (our arithmetic), saying “No user data has been affected or breached.” On October 3, from 4:03 to 5:08 PM UTC, a post publishing disruption left the Dashboard and the API degraded and Providers down, until it moved its services from Railway’s us-west to us-east. A scheduled maintenance from October 31 to November 1 then moved all its services from Railway to AWS.

Strengths

  • Public REST API, webhooks, a hosted MCP server with 13 tools and a CLI on every plan; the pricing page says there is no separate agent tier
  • Flat plan prices with unlimited posts per month on the pricing page (the API overview mentions post-per-month quotas), and unlimited team members from Team up, since seats are not counted
  • The price per channel falls on bigger plans: $0.79 a month per channel when all 100 Ultimate channels are used on yearly billing
  • Open source under AGPL-3.0: 40,995 GitHub stars on November 6, 2026 and a release (v2.25.3) on October 24, 2026; the vendor says self-hosting costs nothing beyond your own server, though you register your own developer app on each network that needs one
  • Wide network list that reaches community platforms such as Reddit, Discord, Slack, Telegram, Mastodon and Bluesky, plus blogging targets (Medium, Dev.to, Hashnode, WordPress); the docs disagree on whether those four connect in the app or only through the API
  • Developer docs with an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, llms.txt, a Try it playground and a public Known Issues tracker
  • OAuth2 for apps that act for other Postiz users, and webhooks that can be scoped to specific channels
  • The docs say the 7-day trial includes the API, so you can test an integration before you are billed; only video clipping and some paid AI video generators are held back, and reconnecting a previously connected channel is restricted

  • No inbox, DM or ads endpoints in the OpenAPI spec, no MCP tool to read or reply to comments, and the docs disagree on whether comment replies can go through the API
  • Account-level analytics cover only 10 platforms by the docs’ text (11 in its table; the pricing page says “across all your connected platforms”), and LinkedIn analytics cover Pages only
  • Postiz’s own pages contradict each other on at least eleven points: the refund window, the yearly totals, AI images and RSS on Standard, the API rate limit, the platform count, analytics coverage, how 11 platforms connect, comment replies over the API, post quotas and self-hosted feature parity
  • No SOC 2 or ISO 27001 claim on the pages we read, and no self-serve data export or account deletion
  • Standard is a solo plan with no team members
  • The official Node.js SDK, @postiz/node, was last updated on npm on July 27, 2025
  • Trustpilot shows 3.5 from 16 reviews (read November 2026); G2 blocked our requests

Key features

FeatureWhat it does
Public REST APIBase URL https://api.postiz.com/public/v1. Create Post publishes, schedules or saves a draft (type now, schedule or draft), with a settings schema for each platform. The OpenAPI 3.1.0 spec, Postiz Public API 1.0.0, lists 27 paths covering connected channels (integrations in the API), posts, channel and post analytics, notifications, uploads, AI video and clipping, and none for comments, an inbox, direct messages or ads. Authentication is an API key in the Authorization header, or OAuth2 tokens starting with pos_ for apps that act for other Postiz users. On every plan.
Hosted MCP server13 tools for AI agents at https://mcp.postiz.com/mcp, including schedulePostTool, integrationList, generateImageTool, generateVideoTool and clippingTool, authenticated with an API key or an OAuth token. The docs say there is no tool to read or reply to comments.
CLI and agent skillnpm install -g postiz installs a CLI whose commands output JSON (version 2.0.27 on npm, last updated October 30, 2026). npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent installs a skill for agents that run shell commands.
WebhooksAn HTTP callback that fires when a post publishes, scoped to all channels or to specific ones. On Postiz Cloud from the Standard plan up; the docs allow 2, 10, 30 and 10,000 webhooks on Standard, Team, Pro and Ultimate.
SDK and automation nodesThe docs list an official Node.js SDK, @postiz/node (1.0.8, last updated on npm on July 27, 2025), and an n8n node, n8n-nodes-postiz (0.2.17). The homepage also names Make.com and Zapier.
Scheduled comments, threads and PlugsSchedule follow-up comments and threads with a post; on LinkedIn and Facebook the comments appear as replies to the main post. Plugs add a follow-up post (Auto plug post) or a repost when a post reaches a number of likes you set, on X, LinkedIn Page, Bluesky and Threads (Threads has no auto repost). Replying to other people’s comments is where the docs conflict: the Instagram self-hosting page says a reply can be posted through the API, while the OpenAPI spec has no comment endpoint and the MCP docs say replies must be triggered through the Postiz UI.
AnalyticsPer channel and per post, in the app and over the API. Account-level analytics cover Facebook Page, Instagram (both connection types), LinkedIn Page, TikTok, TikTok Business, YouTube, Google My Business, Pinterest, Threads and X, with 7-, 30- or 90-day ranges depending on the platform; the docs’ text says 10 platforms, its table lists 11. LinkedIn analytics cover Pages, not personal profiles.
AI images, video and clippingMonthly allowances: AI videos 3, 10, 30 and 60; AI video clipping 60, 120, 300 and 600 minutes; AI images 100, 300 and 500 on Team, Pro and Ultimate (the docs’ plans and limits tables list 20 on Standard and the pricing page none; the plans table also marks the image generator No for Standard). Clipping runs one job at a time, 20 a day, and up to 180 minutes for a single video.
Team membersUnlimited on Team, Pro and Ultimate, and seats are not counted. Standard is a solo plan.
Self-hosted editionThe gitroomhq/postiz-app repository is licensed AGPL-3.0 and had 40,995 GitHub stars and 7,808 forks on November 6, 2026; the latest release, v2.25.3, was published on October 24, 2026. The vendor says self-hosting costs nothing beyond your own server, and that you handle installation, updates, backups and the developer-app approvals on each network yourself; the docs say AI images and video need your own OpenAI and generator keys, and Postiz sells app approval as an optional paid service. Support is community-only and not guaranteed.
White-label headless APISold separately on postiz.com/enterprise for SaaS companies: Starter to Scale, $200 to $8,000 a month with the Monthly toggle or $160 to $6,400 with the Yearly toggle, for 200 to 20,000 channels. Every tier’s Contact Sales button was disabled when we read the page on November 6, 2026, with the note “We are not accepting new applications at the moment”.
Developer docsBuilt on Mintlify, with llms.txt and llms-full.txt, the OpenAPI spec, a Try it playground, Copy page and a live Known Issues tracker.

How Postiz compares

AlternativeHow it differs
AyrsharePriced per social profile, one customer, brand or location connected to any number of networks: Premium is $149 a month on monthly billing for 1 profile; its 28-day trial is on Launch only and needs a payment method.
BlotatoFlat plans with a cap on connected accounts: Starter is $29 a month, billed monthly, for up to 20, the same monthly price as Postiz Standard’s 5 channels, but its 7-day card trial excludes the API and MCP server, where the Postiz docs say its trial includes the API.
BufferA scheduler priced per channel, with a free plan for up to 3 channels and a community inbox for comments. Buffer’s own example table prices 5 channels at $25 a month on Essentials with yearly billing ($30 monthly) and 10 channels at $50 ($60); Team, which adds unlimited team members, is $100 a month for 10 channels with yearly billing ($120 monthly). Postiz charges a flat $23 a month for 5 channels (Standard, solo) and $31 for 10 (Team, unlimited team members), billed yearly ($29 and $39 on monthly billing). Buffer counts API requests per connected channel, 1,000 up to 3,000 on Free, 3,000 up to 30,000 on Essentials and 10,000 up to 100,000 on Team, over a 30-day window in its comparison table (“per channel/month” on its plan cards); Postiz limits its create-post endpoint per hour, so the two limits do not compare directly.
MetricoolPriced by brand rather than by channel, with a free plan for 1 brand that includes the Metricool MCP. Its API, which its help center says is for exports and tools such as Zapier, Make and Data Studio, is only on Advanced and Custom; Advanced starts at $53 a month for up to 15 brands with annual billing ($67 monthly). Postiz includes its API, MCP, CLI and webhooks from the Standard plan, $23 a month billed yearly ($29 monthly) for 5 channels, but has no free hosted plan.
OutstandCounts posts, not channels: a $19 a month base plan, billed monthly, includes 3,000 posts, then $0.007 per post to 10,000; connected accounts and seats are free; no free plan or trial.
PublerFree plan without API; the API and MCP server come with Business, $10.00 a month billed monthly for 1 social account ($8.00 billed yearly).
UnipileA $55.00 a month minimum for up to 10 linked accounts, billed every 30 days per its pricing FAQ (each monthly period per its Terms), led by messaging and email; it publishes only to LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook; 7-day trial with no card.
Upload-PostPriced per profile with a free plan: Free gives 2 profiles and 10 uploads a month with API access and no card; Basic is $24 a month billed monthly ($16 billed annually) for 5 profiles.
ZernioAPI-first and billed per connected social account, with no plans and no seats: the first 2 accounts are free with no credit card, then $6 a month per account for 3 to 10 accounts, $3 for 11 to 100 and $1 from 101, usage-based with a card on file and no annual billing. X API calls are passed through on top at X’s rates, and sent messages beyond 10,000 a month are metered. Zernio’s homepage says “Sixteen networks, one API”, while the Social list in its own footer names 12; the homepage also adds blogs, messaging, voice and ads. Postiz charges a flat plan price for a channel cap instead: 5 channels for $29 a month on monthly billing ($23 a month billed yearly) and 10 for $39 ($31 billed yearly), with no free hosted tier. On Zernio’s monthly per-account bands, 5 accounts come to $18 a month by our arithmetic (2 free, then 3 × $6), and Zernio’s own calculator shows 10 accounts at $48 a month, both before X API or other metered charges. Zernio, formerly Late, publishes its own Postiz comparison page; it says Postiz’s MCP server has 9 tools and that Standard has no AI, while Postiz’s docs list 13 MCP tools and its pricing page lists an AI copilot and 3 AI videos a month on Standard.

Frequently asked questions

Is Postiz free?

Not the hosted version. The homepage says there is no permanent free tier on the hosted version, and the docs say an organisation without a subscription cannot use the app. The pricing page says every plan starts with a 7-day free trial; the docs say new organisations are normally offered one, once per organisation. It needs a payment method, and the card is charged on day 7 for the plan you picked unless you cancel first. The open-source edition, licensed AGPL-3.0, can be self-hosted, and the vendor says it costs nothing beyond your own server; you handle installation, updates, backups and the developer-app approvals on each network yourself, and the docs say AI images and video need your own OpenAI and generator keys.

How much does Postiz cost?

Standard $29, Team $39, Pro $49 and Ultimate $99 a month on monthly billing, or $23, $31, $39 and $79 a month billed yearly, which the vendor says saves about 20%. Each is a flat price per subscription for 5, 10, 30 or 100 connected channels, with unlimited posts per month according to the pricing page. The docs list yearly totals of $278, $374, $470 and $950, which do not match the pricing page’s monthly equivalents ($276, $372, $468 and $948 a year); the docs call the pricing page the commercial source of truth.

What counts as a channel?

Each connected social account is one channel, so three Facebook Pages use three channels. Plans tier on channels, not on post volume, according to the docs’ plans page; the API overview says plans tier on “channel and post-per-month quotas”. The pricing page lists unlimited posts per month on every plan. Seats are not counted either: Team, Pro and Ultimate allow unlimited team members, while Standard is a solo plan.

Does Postiz have an API, and does it cost extra?

Every plan includes a public REST API at https://api.postiz.com/public/v1, plus webhooks, a hosted MCP server and a CLI, and the pricing page says there is no separate agent tier. The API creates, schedules or drafts posts, uploads media, manages connected channels and returns channel and post analytics. You authenticate with an API key, or with OAuth2 tokens if your app acts for other Postiz users. A white-label headless API for SaaS companies is a separate product on the Enterprise page, listed from $200 a month with the Monthly toggle ($160 with the Yearly toggle); when we read that page on November 6, 2026, its Contact Sales buttons were disabled with the note “We are not accepting new applications at the moment”.

What are the Postiz API rate limits?

The API overview and the cloud Limits page apply the limit only to the create-post endpoint, and Postiz’s pages give three numbers: the API overview says 90 requests per hour, or 100 on the cloud; the cloud Limits page says 90 requests per hour; and the description inside the OpenAPI spec says “There is a limit of 30 requests per hour”, without naming an endpoint. The two docs pages say the limit does not rise with the plan. The API overview adds that one request can carry many posts, so batch posts into fewer requests. Request bodies on /posts are capped at 50 MB, and uploads at 10 MB per image and 1 GB per video file.

Can AI agents like Claude or ChatGPT use Postiz?

Yes. The hosted MCP server at https://mcp.postiz.com/mcp gives agents 13 tools, among them scheduling posts, listing channels, generating images and videos and clipping videos, and it authenticates with an API key or an OAuth token. Agents that run shell commands can use the Postiz CLI (npm install -g postiz, JSON output) or the agent skill (npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent). The pricing page says these ship with every plan, and the About page says 17 AI agents are documented.

Which networks does Postiz support?

It depends on which Postiz page you read: 27 in the description inside the OpenAPI spec, 28+ in the CLI docs and the privacy policy, 30+ on the website, 32 in the API overview (whose tables name 31) and 34 in the docs (whose table has 35 rows). The homepage FAQ names 29, among them X, LinkedIn, Facebook Pages, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Google My Business, Medium, Dev.to, Hashnode and WordPress. The same docs page contradicts itself on 11 platforms, including Twitch, Kick, VK, Nostr, Medium and WordPress: its table gives each one a way to connect in Add Channel, but a later section says they have no in-app connect flow yet and can be scheduled through the Public API.

Can Postiz read comments or send DMs?

Postiz’s docs disagree on comment replies. The OpenAPI spec lists no comment, inbox or direct-message paths, and the MCP docs say there is no tool to read or reply to comments and that “Comment replies must be triggered through the Postiz UI”. The Instagram self-hosting page, however, lists “Replying to comments via an explicit user action” and says “You can post a reply through the API”, without naming an endpoint. You can schedule follow-up comments and threads with your own posts, and Plugs can add a follow-up post when a post reaches a number of likes you set (on X, LinkedIn Page, Bluesky and Threads). We found no documented way to read incoming comments or DMs, and no ads endpoints.

Can I get a refund from Postiz?

Postiz’s pages disagree. The pricing FAQ and the Terms of Service (last updated October 19, 2026) refund up to one month of fees per account if your last charge was within the past 120 days, and say annual plans are not refundable. The docs’ refund page allows one refund per customer, for a subscription charge less than 60 days old, capped at one month, refunds a yearly charge at one twelfth and cancels the subscription.

Is Postiz secure, and is it SOC 2 certified?

The privacy policy lists TLS on every connection, encryption at rest for media files, passwords stored as salted bcrypt hashes and workspace API keys stored encrypted. We found no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 claim on the pages we read. The Data Processor page names an EU representative under GDPR Article 27 and lists sub-processors, and customers who sign its Data Processing Agreement get at least 7 days’ notice of a new one. Account deletion and data export are handled by email at support@postiz.com.

Who is behind Postiz?

Gitroom Limited, in Hong Kong, is the contracting party for Postiz subscriptions, and Gitroom LLC, in Delaware, holds the developer approvals for the social platforms Postiz connects to. The vendor says Postiz was founded by Nevo David. Its open-source repository, gitroomhq/postiz-app, was created in July 2023.
