Zernio vs Unipile: Which Is Better in 2026?

Affiliate disclosure: the link to Zernio is an affiliate link — we may earn a commission if you buy, at no cost to you. The link to Unipile is a plain link: we earn nothing from it. Neither changes this comparison, which is based on editorial research.

Zernio's own comparison hub files Unipile under messaging rivals, and the overlap is real: both bill per connected account each month, and both reach LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, Gmail and Outlook. They lead from opposite ends. Zernio, formerly Late, leads with publishing and adds messaging, ads and email; Unipile leads with messaging, email and calendars, and its posting reaches three networks. Ten accounts cost $48 a month at Zernio and $55.00 a month in total at Unipile.

The key difference: Zernio publishes and schedules to 10 social networks; it also lists Reddit and Snapchat, whose docs pages say they are temporarily unavailable and not available yet; Unipile's Create a Post reaches LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook with no field to schedule, but its messaging covers LinkedIn's Classic, Sales Navigator, Recruiter and Company Page inboxes, and Zernio's LinkedIn page says 'LinkedIn blocks third-party DM access'.

Price from Free for the first 2 connected accounts, no credit card; then usage-based at $6 per connected account per month for accounts 3 to 10, $3 for 11 to 100 and $1 from 101 (no cap); X API calls, sent messages beyond 10,000 a month and managed ads beyond 500 are metered on top $55.00/mo minimum for up to 10 linked accounts (€49.00/mo in EUR; above 10, every linked account is billed at its tier’s rate, from $5.50 per linked account/mo for 11–50 down to $3.50 for 5,001+, or €5.00 down to €3.00); billed post-paid every 30 days on the peak number of linked accounts, per the pricing FAQ (the Terms of Use say at the end of each monthly period); 7-day free trial, no credit card required; no free plan listed

Pricing model Usage-based, paid by card (the rate card says Card, monthly), with no seats, no plan tiers and no annual billing. The self-serve option, Build, charges per connected account per month on a graduated ladder: accounts 1 to 2 free, 3 to 10 at $6, 11 to 100 at $3 and 101 and up at $1, with no cap; each band prices only the accounts inside it, and billing is prorated by account-day. Outbound inbox messages beyond 10,000 a month, managed ads beyond 500, X API calls (at X’s rates), phone numbers, calls, SMS, RCS, iMessage and payout transfers are metered on top. Enterprise is custom-priced and available past 2,000 accounts, with postpaid invoicing on net-30/60 terms, and the Enterprise page says most enterprise contracts include volume-based discounts on the public ladder. Each ad account and each WhatsApp number counts as a connected account on the same ladder (the pricing docs: “A Page, its Instagram account and the Meta ad account behind them are 3”). Zernio’s own pages conflict on two points. The pricing FAQ says usage is “billed at the end of each billing period”, while the billing docs say “Zernio charges your card as you accrue usage, not once at the end of the month”, first at a threshold that starts at $10 and then doubles. The pricing page says “Every feature included, nothing gated behind a plan”, while API reference entries for ads still say “Requires the Ads add-on”. Billed per linked (connected) account per month, in EUR or USD, post-paid on the peak number of accounts linked at the same time; the pricing FAQ says invoices are generated at the end of each 30-day period, while the Terms of Use say billing occurs at the end of each monthly period. A minimum of €49.00 a month ($55.00) covers up to 10 linked accounts; above 10, every linked account is billed at its volume tier’s rate, from €5.00 ($5.50) for 11–50 down to €3.00 ($3.50) above 5,000, with custom pricing on request beyond 5,000. The vendor says every tier includes unlimited API calls and requests, with no per-message, per-call or per-channel fee, and every provider costs the same. A Google or Microsoft mailbox and its calendars count as one linked account. Prices exclude VAT. The page’s only toggle is currency; it shows no annual billing option. 7-day free trial with no credit card; no free plan or free credits are listed.

Our rating: the median of five independent editorial scores per tool, each taken from a uniform fact sheet of our review, on the same criteria and rules for the eight Social Media & Messaging APIs. It weighs value and pricing transparency, free ways to try the API (a trial or free plan earns that credit only if it includes the API), what works today (usable networks only), developer and agent tooling, trust (independent ratings, security evidence, company age and size where the review states them, and incidents on the vendor’s own status page, weighed by hours and severity) and consistency of the vendor’s own pages, where each self-contradiction counts once, at the same weight for every vendor. Affiliate status is not an input. How we score

Zernio
4.3

Social media API and MCP server for posting, DMs, analytics and ads from code, priced per connected account with the first 2 free

WHY PICK IT
  • Free tier for 2 connected accounts with the full API, analytics and no credit card, and no seats or plan tiers to choose between
  • Published graduated price per connected account per month ($6, then $3, then $1, no cap), with the proration formula and worked examples in the docs
  • One request shape publishes to 10 social networks plus WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord and Slack (Reddit and Snapchat are listed too, but their docs pages say Reddit is temporarily unavailable and Snapchat is not available yet), and the same API covers DMs, comments, reviews, analytics, 9 ad networks and blog articles
Unipile
3.8

Unified messaging, email and calendar API for LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Gmail and Outlook, priced per linked account from a €49 ($55) monthly minimum

WHY PICK IT
  • One API for messaging (LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram), email (Gmail, Outlook, IMAP) and calendars (Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar), with webhooks for messages, mail and calendar events
  • Public pricing with a calculator in EUR and USD; the vendor says every tier includes unlimited API calls, with no per-message, per-call or per-channel fee
  • Volume rates apply to every linked account, from €5.00 down to €3.00 ($5.50 to $3.50) a month, and a Google or Microsoft mailbox and its calendars count as one account

The verdict

Choose Zernio if publishing is the core job: scheduled posts to 10 social networks (Reddit and Snapchat are listed, but their docs pages say Reddit is temporarily unavailable and Snapchat is not available yet), analytics, comment replies and an Ads API across 9 ad networks. The first 2 accounts are free with no card and accounts 3 to 10 cost $6 a month each; ad accounts and WhatsApp numbers count as accounts too, and numbers, SMS, sent messages above 10,000 a month and managed ads above 500 are billed on top. Zernio says it uses 'Official APIs only', a claim it makes for itself.

Choose Unipile if your product lives in LinkedIn and WhatsApp conversations, such as outreach, recruiting inboxes, email tracking or calendar events, and posting is a side task. Up to 10 linked accounts cost $55.00 a month in total (49.00€); from 11 to 50, every linked account is billed at $5.50 (5.00€), so 11 cost $60.50 (55.00€), post-paid on the peak number of linked accounts (every 30 days per the pricing FAQ, each monthly period per the Terms), and the 7-day trial needs no card. Read its FAQ first: it says LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Instagram work through reverse engineering.

Bottom line: Pick Zernio to publish and schedule across social networks. Pick Unipile when the product is built on LinkedIn and WhatsApp messaging and the access method its own FAQ describes is acceptable to you.
