What is Clockify?
Clockify is a time tracking and timesheet platform from CAKE.com, built for teams that need to know exactly where their hours went. The vendor calls it the most popular time tracker for teams and reports more than 7 million users worldwide, with a 4.8 rating from over 9,000 reviews cited on its pricing page.
The product splits into three groups that map onto how work gets measured. Timekeeping covers the Timer, Timesheet, Calendar, Auto tracker, and Kiosk. Reporting covers Reports, Activity, Rates, Projects, and Location. Management adds Scheduling, Time off, Approval, Invoicing, Expenses, and Team.
Five ways to log an hour
Most time trackers pick one input method and make everyone live with it. Clockify ships several, which is the biggest reason it survives contact with mixed teams. The Timer is a stopwatch for people who start and stop as they go. The Timesheet is a grid for entering hours after the fact, aimed at anyone who reconstructs a week on Friday afternoon. Calendar lays entries out against the day, and Auto tracker records app activity so nothing gets forgotten.

Scheduling, attendance, and the manager view
Managers get their own controls. The Manager role, Attendance and overtime, Targets and reminders, and Time off appear on STANDARD, the realistic starting point for anyone running a payroll cycle rather than a personal log. Scheduling and Recurring assignments arrive on PRO for planning capacity ahead of the week.
PRO also carries the oversight features: GPS tracking, Screenshots, Force timer, and kiosk photo capture. Clockify labels GPS tracking optional, but this group of features changes the character of the tool. ENTERPRISE instead adds governance, with single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, a custom subdomain, control accounts, and an audit log.
The Clockify browser extension is the quiet workhorse. Install it and a timer button appears inside more than 90 web apps, including Jira, Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Monday, Notion, Zendesk, and Salesforce, so nobody switches tabs to start tracking. The extension is open sourced, meaning teams can add their own app.

It is less ideal for organizations wanting one system of record for project delivery, because Clockify measures work rather than managing it, and you will end up pairing it with Plaky or something similar.
