Both cover Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, and the McAfee+ Individual tiers are sold with unlimited device coverage rather than a fixed seat count.
McAfee groups these on its site under Protect My Devices (Antivirus, Scam Detector, Web Protection, Firewall), Keep Me Private Online (Personal Data Cleanup, Online Account Cleanup, VPN, Social Privacy Manager), and Safeguard My Identity (Identity Monitoring, Credit Monitoring, Security Freeze, Identity Theft Coverage & Restoration, Password Manager). McAfee leans heavily on AI framing across its marketing, and the feature it now puts front and centre, Scam Detector, targets fraudulent messages rather than classic file-based malware.
Scam Detector and the anti-fraud layer
Scam Detector is the headline addition and the most genuinely new part of the McAfee stack. The vendor states that all McAfee plans include automatic alerts for text, email, and video scams, plus on-demand QR code scans, which matters now that parking meters and restaurant menus have become an attack surface.
The product page frames this around lightning-fast alerts, all-in-one protection, on-the-go detection, and coverage control, with McAfee saying you pick the level of text scam detection you want. One caveat McAfee publishes in its own legal notes: Identity Monitoring Service Essentials is available within active McAfee+ Premium, McAfee+ Advanced, McAfee+ Ultimate, McAfee Total Protection, and McAfee LiveSafe subscriptions, but not every monitoring element exists in every country.
