hide.me is owned and operated by eVenture Limited, registered in Labuan, Malaysia, and governed by Malaysian law. The company says it built the service in 2012. Premium buyers get unlimited data across 92 locations and 2,600 servers, 10 simultaneous connections, a fixed IP address, streaming support and dynamic port forwarding, with apps for Windows, macOS, Android, iPhone and iPad, Linux, Amazon Fire TV and three browsers.
hide.me says it was among the first VPN providers to be audited, in 2015, and that Securitum, a European security firm, has again confirmed its no-logs policy is strictly enforced. It is an accredited provider under the VPN Trust Initiative. Use is strictly personal; commercial and organisational use goes through separate hide.me Business and Reseller agreements.
What it costs in practice
Premium is $11.99 billed monthly, $54.99 billed every 13 months ($4.23 a month, with 1 extra month) or $69.99 billed every 26 months ($2.69 a month, with 2 extra months, labelled Exclusive Price). All amounts are in USD and VAT may apply. The on-page Pricing Guarantee says a plan always renews with the same price and duration. Payment methods include cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, SEPA, SOFORT, bank transfer and eight cryptocurrencies including Monero.
The free plan costs nothing and needs no credit card, but limits you to restricted speeds, 8 locations and 1 connection. The 30-day money-back guarantee needs written notice by email within 30 days and applies only to a first order from someone who has not claimed a refund before and has not broken the terms; renewals do not qualify, and refunds can take up to 10 days. One oddity: the terms, last updated 25 August 2026, describe billing every 30, 180, 365, 730 or 1095 days, which does not match the 13- and 26-month plans on sale.
